Vacation at Åland, Finland

After the dogshow we went to The Castle of Kastelholm on the north of Åland.
The Castle of Kastelholm is a well-preserved ruins from year 1388, in the parish of Sund in Åland and it is Åland’s only medieval fortification.

We also went to the fortress Bomarsund which also lays in the parish of Sund in Åland.
The main fortress was meant to be a 290 meter long semi-circular armed barracks in two floors designed to house 2500 men, was blown apart in year 1854.
